The Release Bundle — Everything You Need to Send 'Em Back Down
The Release Bundle is your entire barotrauma-release setup in one box: our purpose-built Release Rod, a matched reel, a SeaQualizer Descending Device, and the lead to run it. Rig it once, keep it within arm's reach, and stop tying up a fishing outfit every time a fish comes up hot.
Built around the SeaQualizer Descending Device — pressure-triggered to release your fish at the depth you set, automatically. Drop it, let it recompress on the way down, and it lets go. No trigger-pulling, no guesswork.
Build it to the water you fish:
- Descending Device — Shallow / Standard / Deep. Match the device to the depths you pull fish from. [Shallow: nearshore/reef range — 30'/50'/70'] · [Standard: mid-range — 50'/100'/150'] · [Deep: deep-drop range — 100'/200'/300']
- Lead — 1 / 2 / 3 lb. The 1 lb (16 oz) weight meets the federal minimum on its own. Step up to 2 or 3 lb for deep drops, ripping current, or big fish that need to get down before they burn out at the surface.
In the box:
- Release Rod — short, purpose-built blank rated for the descending weight
- Penn Senator — spooled to reach the depths your device is rated for
- SeaQualizer Descending Device (your choice: Shallow, Standard, or Deep)
- Descending lead (your choice: 1, 2, or 3 lb)
Rigged and ready, right out of the box. Assembled, this is a descending device rigged and ready for use — exactly what Gulf federal waters and Florida/Texas state waters require when you're targeting reef fish. Even the lightest lead option clears the 16 oz minimum.
